Louisville Bible College (LBC) invites applications and nominations for the position of Instructor of Bible (New Testament). The qualified individual will help with curriculum and course development and teach courses in the MA program in Bible (New Testatment concentration) to be implemented in Fall 2014 and the MA program in Bible and Ministry.
Qualified candidates will hold a Ph.D. in New Testament or equivalent field from an accredited graduate school. ABD will also be considered. Candidates must believe in the inspiration and inerrancy of Scripture and be effective in teaching from an apologetical manner that defends the veracity of Scripture and Christian theology. Applicants must be a member of a Restoration Movement (Christian Churches/Churches of Christ) church and demonstrate ability in teaching, either at the college level or in the local church. Faculty are also expected to be actively serving in the local church.
The Instructor of Bible (New Testament) will teach two or three courses per semester and be available to serve on academic committees as required by the dean of the college. Considering that LBC is primarily a commuter, non-traditional college, applicants are highly advised to be located within reasonable distance to Louisville, KY or be open to commuting at one’s own expense if extensive travel is necessary. Additionally, due to the nature of the college, faculty serve primarily like adjunct professors and are currently not hired on a traditional full-time basis.
